These plants make minerals and other nutrition available to other plants. Each of them has its own “specialty.” Many of them are considered “weeds.” You will often find mineral accumulators on disturbed or damaged soils. They are the only things that can grow there because they are able to access nutrition not easily accessed by other plants.
